If you wish to become Dr. Mitchell's new patient, don't waste your time. You will be swapped to a different Dr at the last minute with zero notice and with zero consideration of your time. Not sure if the excuse given to me is legit or not, but it sounds like I was involved with a bait and switch. I went through the trouble to read reviews through Blue Shield and found a Dr to my liking.I called weeks ago and was told Dr. Mitchell is taking new patients. Finally, my appointment came, I am told he had a family emergency and another Dr will be taking over permanently.Permanently? Why permanently? Why wasn't I called and notified this to save my time from driving? I only get a couple days off a month, they wasted my time! I have PPO for a reason, to see a Dr of my choice and not waste time with referrals. However the stories I was given by the staff just didn't add up. I feel like they are accepting everyone requesting for Dr Mitchell, just to get people to come in and book, but then swap you with a Dr you did not request. Not a good practice.Edit: Im very confident this is normal practice for them to bait and switch doctors. Looking at other reviews made about this place over the years, a lot of others are commenting they were given an excuse of "family emergency" Sounds like they do this all the time and there is no real family emergency.

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. I went in for some skin patches that started forming on my body. Doctor took one look and knew what it was. Prescribed me medication for it which did a great job clearing it up so no complaints on the diagnosis. HOWEVER when I went in they said they took my insurance and they put my info in but they spelled my name wrong and so I tried to tell them to correct it so they could get paid by the insurance. They tried to say it wouldn't mess with it but regardless I said they needed to spell it right to be sure. Next thing I know I'm receiving bills in the mail saying I owe them for my visits because insurance supposedly couldn't identify me. Then fast forward and I'm being harassed by a debt collector claiming my insurance lapsed and that's why I had to pay out of my pocket. So I contact my insurance and turns out I never had a lapse and the real reason that the doctor is charging me is because they waited a whole year and then some to even report the claim to my insurance so insurance denied it because it was after the time period in which they were supposed to report it. Be careful honestly because they will screw up at their job and try to make you pay for it. Honestly recommend going elsewhere. These people can't do their jobs right and it honestly seems like a scam they are running to get money out of their patients

Is there an option for 0 stars ? More service , Dr recommended a prescription and I’ve been waiting for 1 week every time I called there no update or “ DR is busy with patients “ “ DR on jury duty “ . Definitely, not returning.

I had a disappointing experience at Advanced Dermatology. The doctor was not friendly and seemed unwilling to spend much time with me. They didn't discuss my concerns or what they observed during the examination. It always seems as if I was an inconvenience to the doctor, but also to the office staff. Additionally, there is always a long wait time. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with the service and would not recommend this practice.

I’m giving the place a two star not because of their treatments or results but because of how they decide to schedule appointments. I didn’t even get to purchase any treatment due to the fact they canceled my appointment without my knowledge. (Due to the fact that they weren’t contracted with my health insurance, but I was able to pay in cash) The receptionist lady explained herself about the confusion and I get it, she tried to reschedule me which I do appreciate it. However from my side I had to make arrangements to be able to make it to the appointment. So they need to please not cancel with out the person knowing.
