a year agoI had knee surgery for a complex meniscus tear two weeks ago and have almost made a full recovery already. All of the staff were courteous, professional and informative. From the first call to schedule my initial appointment, to my final follow up appointment, everything went much better than expected. Dr. Beihn couldn’t have done a better job and the experience was much better than expected. I’ve already recommended my mother have a consultation with him for a knee replacement, and I’ll continue to do so with anyone else who needs this type of help. I sincerely appreciate the professionalism and help I was given.

a year agoTerrible service from Dr. Biehn. Went to see him regarding some foreign debris floating around knee. After an x-ray, he determined that there were some deposits contained within a cyst on the back of my knee, but he wanted a MRI to confirm location within structures of the knee. I got the MRI, and the doctor never called me with any result information. After two weeks, I called and he stated that he was concerned about the arthritis forming in my knee, and told me I could come in for injections for the pain. That had NOTHING to do with why I went to see him! I told him I was not concerned about the arthritis at this time, but would like the foreign debris removed from the back of my knee. He stated that he was not comfortable doing the procedure, and would call me back with a referral to a qualified Dr. to take care of it. I did not hear back for two weeks, so I called the office and got all my records so I could go find a Dr. on my own. Avoid this guy at all costs. He not only did not listen to me when I explained my problem, he couldn't even find the time to call me back, TWICE!

4 years agoWas seen in ER for knee locking an pain, an MRI was ordered and then surgery was ordered for left lateral meniscus repair to repair a Complex Bucket Handle Tear. After surgery the doctor said it wasn’t nearly as bad as he predicted from the imaging. I am now post op 7 weeks, and my knee has popped out again twice and I have the exact same pain and problems that I did when the injury first occurred. My knee is in the same locked position and the pain is great. I had to put myself back in crutches and in my brace because I cannot bear weight again. I called the nurse on call on Monday morning and never got a call back, and left two portal messages. I then had to call the office twice to get an appointment. I did not receive a call back from the on call nurse until after I had already followed up in office. After my appointment today his exact instructions were that “It was probably a sprain, do nothing with the injured knee for two weeks, take naproxen, then if still having issues in two weeks he would order PT and discuss knee injections, and possibly repeat MRI. I practically begged for him to repeat a MRI now and he would not. I voiced concern that I had already had injections pre-surgery and they didn’t help before, how would they help now. I did not feel that he took me or my re-injury seriously. Now, I am forced to either go through the ER, or get a second opinion within my 90 day post operative period, which is challenging, since I’m technically still under his care. I understand the great strain of medical office staff and physicians during COVID-19 and I know care is not immediate, but I do not feel he took me seriously. I felt disregarded. I would strongly urge you to do your homework before selecting a surgeon. The ladies at the front desk and my medical assistant were great.

2 years agoIf I could give Dr. Biehn 20/10, I would. As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Empower Physical Therapy, I have not only been able to see patient's rave about him but from the professional side I can rave about his care. From time spent learning about your individual case and educating next steps to procedures and surgical operations, Dr. Biehn takes pride in taking care of the community. I mostly see THA and TKA (hip and knee joint replacements) from him and each individual has returned to work, playing pickleball, and/or keeping up with their grandkids again. If you are seeking orthopedic expertise, Dr. Biehn is your guy!

3 years agoDr. Biehn has seen 3 of my teens for various issues over the past few years (they've all had different spots injuries). He always takes time to listen and has been very successful at treating their different issues. I highly recommend Dr. Biehn as he is not only a skilled doctor and surgeon, but he takes the time to listen and is caring. I have full confidence in Dr. Biehn as our orthopedic provider.
