I've been patient of this dermatologist's office for over a year, and I absolutely love Dr. Piantanida and Sarah Jenik. The place is super nice, and I always feel welcome and relaxed. Everyone's professional, efficient, and thorough. Even when I know a treatment's gonna be uncomfortable, I don't get anxious coming here.
Brittney at the front desk is a total rock star. When I struggled to get treatment from my GP and needed a referral, she went to bat for me and got what I needed done ASAP. And she was incredibly communicative, kind and compassionate while doing so. THANK YOU!
I'm so glad I don't have to shop around for a fantastic, trustworthy dermatologist anymore. You can tell they all really care, and they have indeed taken great care of me. Highly recommend!
I needed to cancel an appointment because I had a sick child that had been throwing up through the night. The front desk (or maybe its a nationwide answering service) had zero compassion. It was strictly about their cancelation policy (if you cancel within 48 hours you are charged $50). The young lady was almost perky about the policy with no empathy. I don't routinely miss appointments or reschedule last minute so when i need to for an emergency I want to be a part of a company who values human connection and compassion over an unrelational policy (I get the need for a policy if someone has made a habit of canceling/rescheduling the day of) I've had no complaints about Dr. Piantanida or the office staff in my past appointments (over a year ago). Maybe being a part of the new Epiphany dermatologist group has changed their leadership and values? I'll be looking for another office.
I love Sarah Jenik and have been going here for years. However, this location did me dirty when I came in and they swabbed my skin and sent it out to check for bacteria or fungal infection. I had asked prior if it was overly complicated or expensive and told no. Found out a month and a half later they sent the swab to a lab that my insurance is refusing to cover. I’m getting billed $1200. So either they put the wrong code in it or something else happened. I contacted the office, but as of right now I’m furious because I had gotten a skin biopsy done by a different Epiphony location 3 weeks prior and they sent it to Labcorp without any issues.
I had a consultation with 1 provider which I actually liked and then i had to receive care from another provider who didn’t care to listen to what I wanted. Ended up terminating my treatment early.
The phone lines were a disaster. I called three times to see if they do tca cross and I still don't know. And their callback feature knows nothing and sent me to billing which does nothing.
Will definitely share this to my social medias without thousands or followers.
