I have been to several spine specialist lately regarding a herniated disc in my lumbar. Thus far this office is tied for the worst one. I arrived about 10 minutes early as requested to finish up any remaining paper work. The front desk staff was very polite. However. My appointment was at 11:00am and I had confirmed my appointment prior to the day of my appointment. I waited an hour and a half before I was called back to a patient room. Personally I have a major issue when a dr office requests me to arrive early and has a 15 minute no show policy but cannot extend the same courtesy to it patients and keep a reasonable schedule. Once I finally was called back. Dr Snell recommended cushion and said it was really my only option. I had many concerns with fusion, namely that fusion tends to lead to additional surgery. There are a vast number of studies that show fusing a disc leads to adjacent level disc fusion. In addition to that the odds of needing additional fusion/surgery increases every year post op. I had asked about several alternatives to fusion and dr snell dismissed all of them stating that they were inferior to fusion. Despite the research showing otherwise. While I’m sure, Dr. Snell is a very accomplished surgeon, he seems to only offer fusion and is not willing to consider anything other than that.

I had disc replacement and fusion done here 8 days ago. The surgery went great. After care at the hospital was a nightmare. The only saving grace was the nurse Norma. She has only been able to do so much however, and because of a mishap on my prescription, I have been left without pain relief for two days now. I have called repeatedly with no help. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Worst experience of my life.

UPDATED: Recieved a call back after the review from Karen who listened to our concern and was able to help get the records today like we needed. Moving the review to 4 stars from 1, but while I appreciate the follow up, the person answering the phone is still setting a bad first impression, and may have left us without the help needed if we hadn't complained, which just shouldn't be the case. But thank you to Karen for your timely followup and assistance.Original: Called to get medical records and the lady was both unhelpful and unsympathetic to what was a very time sensitive request. I'm glad the Dr. moved and we wont have to deal with them further.

I have hurt for three years with severe sciatic pain before my disc finally blew out needing repair. I literally couldn’t walk 20 feet or stand up for 10 seconds. Dr Snell and his staff saved me. That’s all I can say. No matter the financial cost or burdens of office visits. It was worth every penny and every second. I am thankful. Maybe they can help you too.
