3 months agoI switched my daughters over to here and I am so very glad I did! Sarah has been so attentive with my kids. She actually listens and shows then she cares.She explains things so well so that my kids and I are able to understand. I have never been disappointed by UVA Health.

7 months agoI am not sure if some of the nurses understand. This is one of my best doctor's office for my kids but recent events is making me think twice. I called to see if I could get same appointment to see my daughter's doctor or any other doctor because she was vomiting and also having frequent bowel movements (stooling )which made her weak. Since she loves her doctor's office she requested I take her to see the doctor. Unfortunately I was told to leave a message for a nurse to call me back. A nurse actually called later on. She asked that I wait for 48hours to monitor her. I should let her rest. I told her she is weak and her vomit is now greenish. In about 4hrs she threw up almost every 6mins. She insisted, that's the policy for me to wait. I told her thank you, but surely I can't wait for 48hrs. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even feel her EMPATHY on the phone!

10 months agoMy daughter has been seeing Dr. Kristen Rainey since she was born. She's now 2. She's seen other doctors during walk ins. They have been nothing but amazing my husband is deaf and they make sure to communicate with him. They answer all our questions even the stupid first time parent ones not making us feel insane or anything. It's a breath of fresh air

a year agoWas great, has been slipping consistently (almost entirely with billing and operations, not the care team) since transitioning as part of the UVA system. Communication for holiday closures (phones off, no signage at a location with walkin hours), timeliness on referrals, etc have just gotten significantly poorer. That said, I truly love the doctors that we've seen there and is the only reason I have not yet changed practices. Yet.

a year agoDoctor ignored concerns I had for my child, he told us my son will “Grow out of Autism” and “Put him in public school they’ll take care of these things, that’s why you pay taxes” and screened the wrong child, had both of their records mixed up and this was just in one visit, our very last. Do not recommend.
