Outstanding service for my first primary. They were very kind and thorough. Dr. Carpenter took her time, showed compassion, and exceeded my expectations as a care giver. The facilty was small but very clean and updated. A tv and water was provided in the waiting area as well as a beautifully decorated restroom. This the first time I felt like an important patient and veteran not like most of the VA facilities I have visited. The office staff were helpful and nice. I highly recommend this VA medical facility SGT Julie J Nelson

Please tell me how to reach anyone via phone. I call daily and can’t get through or phone be answered. If I lived closer to the clinic I would drive to it. I so regret missing a call from nurse Jane because I know I won’t be able to return her call. I do use secure messaging. Please seek ways to improve the clinic process to support us better.

I recently established care at this facility and the only issue I ran into was getting someone to answer the phone to get me scheduled. After trying at a couple different times on various days I just did it over and over and finally got an answer and put on the schedule. Once that occurred everything else was smooth and I had no issues getting my labs done and having my visit with NP Ms. Thomas. Everyone I interacted with in the clinic was friendly and professional. I did not feel like NP Thomas was rushing me and she was very professional. I don't see any issues moving forward treating at this facility.

Everyone has their points, statements and opinions, and here is mine, take it or leave it. I’ve been using this facility for 6 years now and have had nothing but GREAT SERVICE! I feel as the low ratings could be that people are impatient, unwilling and just plain lazy when it comes to their health. Being a retired veteran, I have had my run-in with VA facilities, and yes they come with good and bad. It’s the government and it’s paid for with our tax dollars. Doesn’t mean we should get menial service but it does mean that there is an influx of patients (because who doesn’t love free health care) and more than likely an underpaid and understaffed medical team. Every situation and medical problem is different, however some people need to put in the work to stay healthy. If by chance this facility can’t keep up with YOUR health issues, then I recommend paying out of pocket and going somewhere that better suits you and your medical needs. This clinic, in my honest opinion, is a clean and very practical facility for a U.S. government clinic and is fitted with a great group of nurses, practitioners and doctors. I hope this helps with others decisions and thoughts and also hope it gives insight to those that have left menial/demeaning comments for a review. Most people’s health issues are their own fault. Can’t always blame DNA and sure as hell can’t blame those that are working to make you feel better at the cost of next to nothing pay, by a health care system that cost you very little if next to nothing.

NO ONE ANSWERS THE TELEPHONE AND THEY DON'T CARE. BUT YET THE OFFICE STAFF HAS TIME TO VISIT ABOUT THINGS THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VETERANS HEALTH CARE. I'm trying to find out if nurse Jane has my husband CT scheduled, since we are checking for cancer. It would be nice to get this done, before he possibly dies of cancer. And he's having pain in his big toe. On his last appointment I think we talked to the entire office staff over a period of one week, because they told us that he could not see the doctor. They were mean as snot harassing and bullying us that he could not see the doctor. That's what it was all about - "He could not see the doctor". They were canceling his appointment. We kept telling them he needed to see the doctor. He was having symptoms. He already has life threatening diseases and old. Futhermore, he had never met the new doctor. When he finally got to see the new doctor, she ordered a CT and MRI. Who are they to say he needs to see the doctor or not? The office staff are not doctors! This kind of stuff happens all the time and worse. They have put me in the ER and I'm not a veteran. My veteran fought a war in the military, so we could have freedom and liberty. He comes home and now he has to fight a war with the VA to get his healthcare needs met. Shame on you! My veteran husband has to pay the VA for his healthcare. He does not get it for free.
