Dr. Owsley and his staff were kind, and took the time to carefully explain the forms to be completed and the oral surgery procedure to be done. I especially appreciated the willingness of the staff person in charge of scheduling my procedure to help me find a time that worked best for me…instead of just “the first thing available”. I saw Dr. Owsley for a tooth extraction and implant several years ago, and was pleased with his care and the success of my implant. Thus, there was no question about my decision to return to his practice when another extraction and implant was recommended by my dentist.
I recently had a tooth extraction and implant procedure with Dr. Owsley, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, Dr. Owsley’s knowledge and expertise were evident, and his wonderful bedside manner instantly put me at ease. The entire staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional, making every step of the process smooth and stress-free.The office itself was spotless and welcoming, creating a comfortable environment for surgery day. I’m healing beautifully and am so grateful to Dr. Owsley and his team for their excellent care. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of an oral surgeon!
This was my first visit to Carolina Surgical Arts. The young ladies at the front office was very nice and made me feel welcome and comfortable and were very helpful. Dr. Owsley assistant was very nice and made you feel comfortable and explained everything you. When I met Dr. Owsley he made me feel at ease had a wonderful bedside manner. He explained to me what needed to be done and explained what he was going to do the length of time answered questions.
The whole process was explained from what is going to take place and until He finishes up. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you all
I can honestly say this has to be the most unprofessional medical facility I’ve ever dealt with. My son had an appt today 1/3/25 to have his wisdom teeth removed. His consultation was on 11/21/24. The manager doesn’t seem to know how to “manage” very well. I’m at a loss? I’ve never experienced this kind of situation before.
She informed me 10 mins before his appointment that they hadn’t been able to verify his insurance. Okay, why not and why am I being made aware of this only minutes before his medical procedure? She was extremely condescending to me, which is why I’m so upset. She informed me that I would need to pay the full amount today, no notice… nothing. I don’t know how many families can pay $3,500 on the spot. Unfortunately, we can’t.
She said they made one phone call to me right after the initial consultation to ask about insurance. I never received that call or any message. There wasn’t one.
She said a lady was supposed to inform me on Tuesday of this week when I confirmed the appointment, but that never happened. That person never mentioned a single word about it. I have called several times since last week with questions regarding today’s procedure. There wasn’t a single time anyone said a word about insurance not being verified or me being responsible to pay in full today. Not a single word!
I missed work for the day, my son had no food or drinks past midnight last night, he took his prescribed Valium this morning, we were there on time. We followed each step we were supposed to do on our end, why did this office staff not follow through on their end and take care of their professional duties? It doesn’t make sense. They should’ve had everything taken care of. I shouldn’t have been blindsided at 7:30 am & asked to hand over $3,500. That’s not how business is done. The manager, very annoyed by me being upset, asked rudely how much COULD I pay today. I said $100. She replied, “NO MA’AM!” Like I was a child. They do NOT care about their patients, only money. Period. My son will have his wisdom teeth removed, everything will be fine. It will NOT be done at this establishment.
The staff was pleasant, comforting, and humorous. As I lay there basically upside down, awaiting my wisdom tooth removal, they kept me company and assured me there was nothing to panic about. It was quick and I barely feel any discomfort or swelling the next day. Very well done.
