Muir Wood Adolescent and Family Services – Teen Treatment Program

I am father of 17 year old girl who spent 6 weeks at Muirwood. This was her 3rd residential program in 3 years. My wife and I were very pleased with high level of care, compassion and professionalism. All interactions with staff were great. My daughter also reported a positive experience with program. This was a much better program than the other 2. Thank you for exceeding expectations.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The facility and property are beautiful, and from our multiple conversations with the staff, Muir Wood promised to be a great facility with a great program to meet our family's needs. Unfortunately In our case, the Riverside staff was not equipped to manage the complexities of a patient with mental health issues coming off of substances, as they claimed, nor did they adequately prepare our family for the possibility that this may not be the right place for our child. We were very forthcoming about her situation and dynamics with the intake coordinator, admissions representative, and the nurse on site. We were assured this would be a great fit given her circumstances, yet she was removed from the program after only 12 hours. Our experience with Muir Wood was very disheartening and caused a great deal of psychological stress to our whole family.

Muir Wood helped my child. My child was in severe need of help and they exceeded my expectations on what they did for her. Thank you to the caring staff at Muir Wood. My child was very satisfied with the program and staff as well.

As a professional in the field I appreciate the quality of care Muirwood offers. They have always been a great resource in our community.
