My mother is a resident for 21/2 years at Affinity . I enjoy visiting her. For the most, the nurses, the aids, the front desk, the admissions office, the recreation girls, the housekeeping staff are all kind (because no matter where you are, there’s always one or two people who aren’t). I do recommend Affinity to friends and family. The recreation department goes above and beyond to do activities with the residents. The artwork can be seen all over Affinity. Recreation recently had a field trip to the mall. I haven’t seen my mother or the other residents that happy ever!! Hopefully more outings are in the near future!!! The field trip is talked about often and how much fun it was for them! The food is good most of the time. I know when I leave my mother is being taken care of. I also know if there is an activity through recreation, they make sure my mother attends it and everyone else that would like to go no matter what floor it’s on. Sometimes it’s even outside, which I know the resident love! The ladies at the front desk always have a smile and a hello, and they always ask how the resident doing. That makes it a little bit more Personal. Are there better nursing homes out there, probably. But I really can’t say anything bad about Affinity.

My mother was at Affinity for 2 years in long term care. There are a small handful of nurses and aides that are good. Call bells go unanswered for an hour or so, on the weekends you’re lucky to see anybody in the floor. We made the decision to move her after an incident where i arrived to visit at 4 pm on a Sunday only to find her lying in her bed (she’s unable to get up unassisted) in her pajamas, with a sweatshirt pulled over head but just left draped around her neck with no pillow or blanket. When the aide was sent I discovered my mother saturated in urine. She had been in that bed all day and she in not bedridden. This was bad enough but once I lodged a complaint with the director of nursing and told I would get a call back, 2 days later I called to follow up only to find it was sent over to the social worker who took a statement from me, said it would be investigated and she’d call me back the next day. I followed up with several emails never got a return call. Oh wait yes, billing called to asked whether I’d sent payment yet. Not one person in a position of authority ever reached out regarding the incident. We moved my mother to another facility a week later. Now I feel like an idiot for not doing it sooner. The care she is getting now should have been the care she received for the last 2 years. And the employees at the new place are nice, they’re happy, and genuinely care..and respond if the call bell is rung plus they are well staffed. Do your homework before you make a decision about placing your loved one here.

I am very active in the care of my loved one. I spoke with Lauren and she totally put my mind as ease about choosing this facility. It is bright, extremely clean, friendly staff and not one bit depressing. I definitely recommend Affinity to be considered in your search of rehabilitation. 👍🏼❤️

This place sucks and neglects patients. Kathy the charge nurse on floor 3 is very unkind and doesn't give a damn about her job. Shes miserable and it shows. My grandpa was there for 3 years (beyond my control because my grandmother made that choice) and was on the way out the door from a hospital going to lexor i believe it was and he died before being transferred. There were MANY ignored complaints. My friend or I would visit often and bring clothing and what not to him. And it was awful going in there. The atmosphere is terrible. This place is dirty and doesn't have enough staff AT ALL. Take your loved one HOME. Whatever the situation may be will be better than them. The local business' and people know it too. This place established their own reputation for themselves... it's just not a good place to go. Rehab or long term it's a no
