Lots of therapists to choose from. I usually take a while to warm up when i start at a new place but the doctors were all very nice. I'd been to 3 different pt doctors and one for occupational therapy. All were very thorough. My one qualm with the PT is that they spend soooo much time on the laptop DURING the session. I almost wonder how they can assess me when they're looking at desktop more than me. My OT therapist was very hands on and attentive however. We spent one session with him literally holding my hands the entire time! It was actually comforting..i have RA and my hands suffer. The compression and warmth helps. Nonetheless, it was a decent place for what I was going for. I was just looking to learn some stretches and tips to combat my condition. Im just used to more personable therapy. When I need therapy for an actual injury, I think I'd probably go to my other place. Buy again they were good for what I was needing at this time.

Ahlbin Center in Bridgeport has a long way to go before I would ever go back there for any treatment. When I walked into the building, a woman was seated near the front door. She was wolfing down a yogurt and as I was speaking with her, I could see the yogurt in her mouth. I then had to wait in a line for 10 minutes to check in and she sat in her chair using her phone and eating continuously. She is extremely overweight and should not be permitted to carry out her food addiction while she is working; that's what breaks are for. The woman who checked me in spoke so softly that it was hard to hear her and she never made eye contact with me once. Despite the fact that I kept saying excuse me, she continued to speak in a very low voice and not look at me. The OT I was assigned to was knowledgeable, but a bit quirky. He also couldn't find the tools he needed to provide my treatment. Another therapist was working with clients in the same area and she was so loud, I heard her client's personal information and everything she said to him. Everyone in the room could hear her. Several times she had to get supplies out of a metal cabinet near where my OT and I were seated and each time, she banged the cabinet doors loudly and while doing this, was yelling to her client. She needs to be taught some fineries about professionalism and how to control her ghetto behavior. I had to call to make an appointment and the phone manner of the three women I spoke with was abhorrent. One was extremely loud and she kept calling me honey; the other two were just plain ghetto and unprofessional. It seems that there is an upper tier of employees who are educated, professional, and provide excellent service to the community and careless, unschooled underlings who fail to provide acceptable medical services, attempt to speak properly, not roll their eyes and make faces, or leave their sloppy mannerisms at home. I would not go here again and therefore, do not recommend Ahlbin Center of Bridgeport.
