My parent has been at Tabor Manor for 4 years. The care being provided has not been consistent. After discussing my parents voiced concerns of being upset and anxious with the DOC, a plan of care was developed that was in the best interest of my parent.Unfortunately the plan of care is followed for a week or two then things go backwards again. When you reach out to the DOC, she doesn’t respond. As I have consistently visited my parent in the evening I have seen many residents asking for help to the bathroom or to get back to their room, staff walk away or tell the residents they will be back shortly but there are times you can here some residents asking for more than 20 minutes. My parent always said the staff hide in corners and I am beginning to think she is right!I would suggest if you’re looking for a nursing home for your parent look for one that truly puts the residents needs first !
I am not sure why BA is in the office or why they continue to give her a job she is nasty she is condescending never pleasant to deal with does she hate her job that much? She should be grateful to have a job there at such a nice CHRISTIAN home ! If you’re having a bad day ( seems like every day ) leave it at home try not to be so crusty on the phone! I just hope she is only like this with me and not to the residents who by the way pay her salary!
As always, each visit with my dad brings joy and memories of my mother who sadly passed away April/19. Happy to say he receives the best care from the staff as his memory is beginning to fade and needs additional support and aid. We are blessed to have such great help for him as he loves and lives out his remaining years here on earth to be joined with his wife in Heaven in the seeming near future. It's what he lives for and so do we!
Frontline.workers...psws and nurses are excellent and provide great care. Management seems to need some work. When new management came into Tabor the place started going.downhill. They are.more concerned with money than service. Perhaps respect love and.dignity should be shown by them too.
This place has a lovely environment for those in need of assisted care. Also they had a petting zoo one day in a summer and there was an alpaca that kept spitting on people, so they had to put it into time out.
