The Village of Aspen Lake

Extremely poor communication with staff. They rarely answer their phones. usually takes days to get through. Multiple times we had to get through for serious issues ( lawyer and DR appointments) and no answer.. You have to drive there to get a response. Then when you go there’s a staff member sitting at the front door, looking at their cell phone. They then often do no even say hello, just who are you? Rarely any pleasant greetings. Lady with grey white Bob is often the grumpiest. Why can’t they answer the phones if they have that staff member sitting there on their own phone, not doing much. For food they will NOT allow ice cream AND pie, you must pick one. So after paying a lot of money to live there. they won’t allow their seniors to add one scoop of ice cream? Not happy with this LTC facility. The place tricks you because it looks pretty, but the way it’s run is not.

My mum is in Aspen Village since one month, she says the staff is extremely sweet and kind to her. The lunch lady exactly know what she like, charge nurse name Amber Butler always gives me update about my mum, she is very sweet and helpful. May god bless you all! Love :)

Sunday afternoon August 06 I was not allowed by the receptionist downstairs to visit my friend because of the outbreak. I called nurse from the 3 floor this afternoon and I was told that my friend was out of isolation as of last week. I'm really confused and I hope someone will be able to clarify it for me. Seams like a typical right hand doesn't know what the left is doing.

The staff are fantastic very upbeat. I came from out of town to help out with my mother in law for a week and was very impressed with staff and how they correspond with residence. I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a kind trustworthy environment

My grandma has been here for over a year now.... She absolutely loves it, everyone is extremely friendly, lots of activities for her to participate in, they treat her extremely well, very happy to have her so cared for and gives our family some piece of mind that she's so well taken care of and happy.
