Very professional and considerate staff. The hygienists and dentists alike are kind and patient with even my craziest kid (now 5 yrs)! The office is also well maintained and pleasant to be in. I only wish the waiting room entertainment were all working (tablet type screens and small arcade machines not always working or easy to use).
We have been seeing Dr. Schwann since my child started getting teeth, however over the years, we have been continually disappointed by her care to the point we have now switch dentists to another location. I have always been vocal in my concerns as we have to as parents, however she maybe spends 5 minutes in the room with you and has now cost us THOUSANDS in extra care because she didn't listen. At one point during a procedure, my child raised their hand because they needed to stop and I asked her too and they WOULDN'T, almost causing my child to choke due to the large apparatus in their mouth. I voiced concerns about teeth needing to come out, she wanted me to pay for a spacer. The orthodontist disagreed. It's been two years since that conversation and still doesn't need a spacer. I would HIGHLY recommend you see a different dentist.
I WILL say the dental hygienists are very good, very patient and the front end staff is wonderful. However that is not enough to have kept us at this office. YASH is amazing! she listens and got us the care that we needed and I cannot thank her enough.
This place charges a 20 percent premium over and above the Alberta recommended fee guide. If you have any sort of coverage, your insurance will only cover what the recommended guide fee is. Everything over and above that is on you. After finding that out today, I'm taking my child elsewhere.
