DR. Patel is excellent doctor and he worked a miracle with my wife's kidneys, and health. We're very grateful to the entire team in Carson City.
However. It's hard to get a hold of the "Front Desk" by phone. Plan accordingly.
My dad recently passed away so I now take my mother to her doctor appointments. To say that I have been disappoined in her care givers is putting it mildly.
Then we saw Dr. Lindsey Sanders. She was the epitome of what you should expect from a doctor and a visit to their office. Her true empathy towards my mother was touching. She also spoke directly to my mother, which none of the other doctors have done. I'm not the patient, she is and she is quite capable of understanding her own medical needs and care. Thank you Dr. Sanders and everyone in the office, you are an example that all other doctors offices should model themselves after.
My 99 year old grandmother was admitted to the hospital twice with hypercalcemia within one week in the first week of September - her blood calcium levels were high enough to kill her. When she was released from the hospital we were instructed to consult with a nephrologist at Sierra Nevada Nephrology within 5 days because her blood test results indicated she might have kidney cancer. Sierra Nevada Nephrology refused to make an appointment with my extremely sick grandmother in anything less than three weeks after she left the hospital. We still don't know the full results of the blood tests she received and cannot form a treatment plan until she can see a doctor. I feel like this is patient abandonment.Don't bother trying to get to a "night clinic for new patients" as advertised on their website. The appointments clerk indicated that those are not available and they have no idea when Sierra Nevada Nephrology will start having them. False advertising, anybody?
Was seeing this office for kidney issues. They did not have a six month calendar out and were suppose to contact me to make an appointment. Never heard from them and they also misplaced some of my paperwork. The doctor was okay but the front staff is just mediocre.

a month agoDr. Iryna Patel is extremely unprofessional. No sense of urgency for her patients.
