I have a 35yrs son with autism I allowed my son to attend this rehabilitation work system a.k.a hsi program at 415 s. Kilpatrick trusting it was safe for the disabled so he can have something to do everyday, he really loved it but 6 years ago I had to take him out because he started having seizures really bad , but I just found three weeks ago by my son that he was being sexual assaulted by another client in the facility not one time but he showed me two different acts that the other client had performed on him yes he informed the overseer of the act that the client had done to him they had a meeting about it .but I was never informed about any of this until like said three weeks ago when son came to me asking guy touch guy I went to the facility to confront them and mad a police report.
I told the if this young man doing this to my son apparently
someone's done it to him. and he's doing it or going to do it to someone else.i also informed them that they let my son and me down because they are to protect my son and the other clients as if I would and to inform me of any and everything that goes on with son and they didn't.
Staying in the basement here in 2015 turned my life around met some awesome guys here in the basement then I had the opportunity to come back down state so I can be a dad again the guys in the basement helped me turn my life around I will always be grateful for all the guys in the basement thanks everyone you will always be appreciated much love
In 1990 I enter the doors of HSI very much confused. One child who long for the service with another one on the way.
After attending THE PROGRAM AND FOLLOWING THE PLANS. NOT ONLY DID MY CHILDREN benefit from the program so did I.
If you are serious and what the help that HSI provide I recommend you take it. I did and I owe my life to them.
Great place to work. The leadership works tirelessly to ensure that the clients and staff needs are met. They have providing excellent service in mental health for over 40 years.
The staff here have little to no professionalism whatsoever. Its every consumer for themselves this is an amazing place to change your life but don't rely on the staff to accomplish your goals for stability.
