I have taken classes at Highpoint for 4 years. It has been a blessing to me. The classes change every 3 months. The caseworkers are good at what they do. There are closed groups for Trauma, In depth Mental health. I have high praise for the director and Daniel, the owner. The classes offered are good and helpful to me. I have suggestions. If it was possible to find a building that had the following: 1. Art class, with pottery and ceramics, paints. Staff that went to school for art therapy 2. Music room with instruments, music stands and sheet music. Staff that went to school for Music therapy 3. Indoor basketball, treadmills, stationary bikes, indoor track. 4. Spring water dispensers or water bottles. The current container can be tampered with and contaminated by people touching the spout

High point was an integral part of my sobriety. The counselors are great. The groups are flexible depending on the needs of the participants. I would've loved 2 continue at High Point but they no longer accepted my insurance.

Intensive outpatient Rebab for mental health and drug addiction. Good strict place. State funded. You may be here a long time if you are required to complete a program by the state. They are accommodating and provide you with transportation no matter where you live in NJ. The staff is great right now but there is a large turnover rate and the counselors come and go.

It was like being in auschwitz, you weren't allowed to grow as an adult they wanted you to be heavily medicated so you couldn't function and stand up for yourself if treated like garbage by the "so called" therapists, they only had lcsw degree not actual psychology degrees,I was what they called discharged but in reality I was kicked out because of their excuses like my poor attendance but they didn't take into account that I had a stomach virus for 3 weeks and they also said in the letter they sent me that I wasn't med compliant but they also knew I wasn't on meds to begin with and it's documented too but that's irrelevant now,I asked by letter for a copy of my records per their policy and they ignored my letter so?? I called the state licensing board for mental health facilities and reported them, ran into a former employee and this person told me they were investigated by the state, I regularly talk to some of the high functioning clients still and they informed me that it's getting worse,I told the individuals to get an outpatient therapist before you leave and when you do get one just stop goin period,in closing make the right choice to stop goin because high point doesn't want the clients to succeed, they want them to fail...

Took weeks to get someone to call me back. We finally get an appointment and go for the intake. After having all paperwork done and signed they decide to refer us to another place saying at this time it's not a good fit. But when called out on there decision by the crisis center they lied and said we must of misunderstood. How does one misunderstand the fact that they referred us elsewhere. Nice job liars!
