a week agoDr. Ted Shields and the staff are excellent. Dr. Shields takes the time to get to know his patients, and employs the most up to date procedures to ensure his patients can live as pain-free as possible. Highly recommend.

2 weeks agoI have lived with extreme pain in my back and legs since 1987. I lived with taking Pain pills and having to watch every move I made so as not to injure myself to the point I couldn't work. Approximately 2 years ago I started going to Dr. Sheila's at PCoA . He has tried progressively to use the least aggressive treatments to help me. Dec. 3 2024 he put in a nerve stimulator. For the first time in many years I have a great deal of pain relief without being goofy from pain pills. Dr. Sheilds has given me pain relief for the first time in over 40 years , free from opioids and I can not express in words how very grateful I am to him and his staff.

a month agoI saw him for occipital neuralgia RFA treatment, he is VERY good.Left due to his staff!! I'd seen him2yrs. After being made to wait months to see him, told him staff claimed my ins. no longer covered treatment. He seemed upset by this and checked himself saying Yes, I am covered and personally gave me an appointment for my RFA.Next day his office again claimed that insurance denied.Contacted insurance, said they did NOT deny. My insurance 3way called office, straightened it out. Office reinstated appt.Over the next several days &weekend I got texts-reminder calls for procedure. The day of my appt, showed up & was told my insurance denied. I told them l spoke with insurance and the office& it was taken care of. I tried to pay cash 4k was desperate & denied.Had a panic attack and PTSD episode, went to ER, my primary called ins. DIDN'T denyPrimary called Dr office & told them ins covered! Asked to see Shields told no, seeAprn 7 weeks. It had been 10mnths since last RFA-I suffered horribly. Denied ability to see/speak to him found new provider. Sorry about shrthand limits on posting.
