Right at Home – In-Home Health Care – Kitchener-Waterloo

What a life saver Right at Home has been for my Dad living alone in his home. As soon as we called to inquire about their service, we were asked what our needs were. Immediately Andrea, our coordinator put into place fabulous PSW support for him very last minute. She followed up promptly with emails and phone calls. I was relieved to have this service for my dad over the weekend. It felt good he was being looked after by two amazing PSW’s, Sue and Thelma. Big thanks to this fabulous service for seniors.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!!!! I had been calling and emailing around to find someone that would go to the facility my mother is presently residing at to have a ankle foot brace made for her rehabilitation (for a hemorrhagic stroke of the right side). I emailed Right at Home Canada and Andrea Schilha RPN (Nurse Care Planner) advised me that they didn't have this service but said she would reach out to a source she thought might. Sure enough Right at Home Canada specifically Andrea emailed me back providing me the name of Kitchener Physiotherapy and Wellness and I was able to book an appointment for Mom that same day. It truly was a hallelujah moment. In these times it is so refreshing to find people that will go the extra mile. You have my thanks Andrea and Right at Home Canada! Sincerely and truly grateful! Recently, I called the Right At Home Organization when I came to the realization that my Family and I needed more support for an aging Parent, in their home. I had seen the Ad for the organization, on a billboard, but until now, it didn't register with me. However, driving past it lately, I went home and called. I spoke with Andrea who, with a very pleasant deameanour , gave me details on how their Organization operated, found out what I needed and set the wheels in motion quickly for Urgent Care for my Parent. The email that followed was informative and detailled. A schedule for Support Personnel, to assist my Parent in their home, was immediately established and clear to understand. Everyone I spoke with was engaged and helpful. I would highly recommend the RIght At Home Organization.

My parents have been so hesitant to accept help in their home, but as soon as I began speaking with the RAH staff I knew my parents would like them! My goodness it has been such a positive experience for us all. The care coordinators I have spoken with have been so helpful, professional and interested in matching my parents with the home helper that would suit them best. And of course as soon as they were paired with NATALIE, they said 'why haven't we done this sooner'. Now my parents don't stop talking about Natalie..."Natalie really loves what she does" "Natalie is such a hard worker" "Natalie is so sweet and caring". We thank everyone for all of the support as we onboard programming and services for my parents and would wholeheartedly recommend RAH (but Natalie is booked!!!!).

We were very fortunate to find Right at Home when my father suddenly needed temporary overnight care. Our care planner, Andrea, was responsive, helpful, and proactive to get us the care we needed and to communicate about dad's needs throughout our time with them. We appreciate every PSW that worked with dad, but must make special mention of the amazing Marian, who went far above and beyond to understand and meet dad's preferences and needs. She became a great companion and valuable resource to dad and went out of her way to ensure he transitioned well to his new space at the end of our time using Right at Home. Thank you so much!
