I was lucky to go when traffic was light, but then I also came in the back entrance from the subdivision. Parking and getting my ticket was quick, the entrance door closest to my appointment was open this time, so that made it easier and faster. Clinic organization made the appointment easy and fast, within 30 min. I was leaving again. Very nice staff.
This place is absolutely horrible for patients. You are toe to toe with another patient barely 5 feet from them with a see through curtain there’s no privacy whatsoever I’m stuck in a wheelchair waiting for phisio I think I’m going to leave and go home soon this is a horrible hospital I’ve been to 3 so far and none of them were nearly as concerning as this one
This is a terrible place, coming from a former nurse. Patients were confined to their rooms for months in 2020. Held down and forcibly Covid-swabbed. Patients decline rapidly here. They are bathed and fed, but nurses don't have the time to organize activities or provide stimulation. Many of them are just plain callous and mean too. It falls onto the recreation and OT/PT staff who are rarely ever available. Consequently, patients are parked in front of the TV most of the time.
Horrible bad experience here. They wouldn't even give me my meds patients are just left to wander the halls with their psychosis or stuck in their rooms expected to entertain themselves. The nurses would gossip and just be talking non stop to each other. It's a terrible place for someone with psychosis to be.
My father passed away in Grand River Hospital last Monday. He was on the second floor in the Pioneer Terrace. He was given exceptional care. The nurses were nice to my father and our large family. They would do whatever I asked. Thanks especially to Kyle and Diana. They were kind and caring. Good nurses.
