a month agoI don't even know where to start, it was so horrible for my great-grandmother to be in this CHSLD. Although there is a shortage of employees, like everywhere, the care offered to patients should not change. Lack of hygiene care, no mobilization despite a pressure ulcer in the coccyx, meal not prepared adequately for his level of autonomy...eg: a smoke meat sandwich, bread wrapped in paper and meat separately. Note that she was in no way able to mobilize, because she was in too much pain. Our grandmother was dehydrated, to a terrible extent. We, with no nursing course in hand, saw her clearly, even though the nurses told us that she was not, and that we should not worry. We were too concerned about his unhappiness, so we decided to ask to call the ambulance. A chance that we had the conscience to take into account, because we were told today that she is more than dehydrated, that she has an infection in her blood, and that her kidneys no longer work at all. There is nothing more to do. We are currently at his bedside, because he only has a few hours left to live. She returned to the hospital yesterday. He had put her in code 6 at the CHSLD, but when she got to the hospital she was code 1 priority. Note that his condition was the same once in the hospital as in this center. Also note that she only spent about 1 week there. I can’t imagine other patients and their families believing everything medical professionals say. It breaks my heart.Stupid nurse who invents things to the paramedics in front of us.Clearly, many of them don't care about patients and should change professions.Of immense sadness.

9 months agoBeyond the walls and the beauty of the establishment, there are the people. My father spent a little over a year and a half there and he had nothing but good words for the staff, the whole team from management to the nurses and attendants who are doing extraordinary work. He didn't like food but never wanted for anything. Losing your independence brings its share of challenges and it's not easy for anyone. Thank you to the whole team, you are great.

3 years agoIf you bring a relative to this place, it is best to take them to the morgue directly. It's been almost a year since my grandmother left us. Every day, she told us that she was thirsty because we weren't giving her water. The family went to take care of her every day because it seemed like they were short-staffed. My mother was the one who was going to bathe him every other day because good luck if you wait until after the staff to do it. Thank you anyway for letting us see it through the window once Covid-19 sets in, but seriously, learn to treat the locals the way you would like to be treated.

2 years agoMy mother is treated well. But, like everywhere, even PB Hospital. the elderly are not adequately watered. Thank you to the employees who care about the well-being of residents.
