Jewish General Hospital

The wait time is horrible as we all know... It's not the only hospital to have you wait for hours. The gov website is not accurate at all.I was in my early pregnancy, it was my 3rd time went to emergency. I know the triage put me as a level 3 patient, but it was still 10 hours wait to see the doctor which finally examined me And confirmed I was experiencing a miscarriage. I did eat the whole time in the waiting room, after 8 hours of waiting, I told the nurse I was dizzy and hungry, she answered me to " it's emergency! Just go lie down." Lucky that the doctor was seeing me not long after (2 hours) but he was not rushing to examine me and took the time to find other hospital record which made me feel better. I think his name was Michael. Thank you again

During my stay at the hospital, I faced a very upsetting experience with the staff. One of the workers who came to assist me with going to the bathroom told me that he only spoke French and didn’t understand English. When I asked for help in French, he refused and falsely claimed he would come back shortly, but he never returned.Later, a nurse came, and I explained that I couldn’t make it to the bathroom and asked for a bedpan. The nurse reluctantly provided it but left it under me for two full hours without returning to remove it. Eventually, I had to call my sister to come to the hospital to help me with the situation.This lack of care and attention was extremely distressing. I hope the hospital takes this feedback seriously and ensures better training and accountability for its staff.

Lack of communication, loud tone of voices toward patients it sound very rude. 20yrs it use to be a very good hospital and now it have changed. Not happy with doctors that do cancer treatment. They convinced cancer patients to do the treatment after it's seem not to work after they said it's useless to continue. Telling cancer patients that they wouldn't live long. Seriously! They shouldn't be using these kind of words we should encouraging them to fight this.It's like cancer patients are lost their hopes. I've use to hear it's the greatest hospital to go if people had cancer they said they're will be in good hands. Now, we don't even know if we choose the right hospital. I also want to know what kind of cancer treatment that's not cover by the Healthcare? And I'm curious about this Doctor that was doing the treatment for my relative he had liver cancer she stopped the treatment saying it doesn't do any better if she continued the treatment and now look likes she's avoiding the patient cause we need to speak to her she doesn't show up or return the calls what is going on?

The staff are doing the best they can.. Yes, there are many disgruntled employees, but you can't really blame them. They are overworked and underpaid. The Jewish used to be THE hospital to go to... now it's a sad shadow of what it once was. If you have a choice, go to the super hospital..... Don't blame the hospital. blame the Quebec system. It's saddens me to give 2 stars.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the gynecology department and especially to the amazing nurses who cared for me so lovingly during my hospital stay. I went through intense pain crises, and your kindness, care, and attention were essential for my recovery and mental well-being. Thank you so much!
