This is absolutely the worst VA I have been to. They don't answer the phone. The shortest time I have waited for someone to pick up the phone is 25 minutes. I have been on hold well over an hour several times. Then if you try and schedule online they call you to set it up anyway. The number they call you back on doesn't say it's the VA either. So if you are like me and don't answer calls from numbers who don't say who calling then your screwed and have to sit on hold forever. What's the point of the schedule your appointment online if you can't actually do it ? Also the dates available showing online that you pick are never the dates they give you when they call. It also weeks to months later. This VA also doesn't have a Pharmacy which is absolutely ridiculous !!! This VA also sends you to Charleston for almost everything which is two and half hours away. This VA is a total disaster and will frustrate any Veteran who actually has been to a decent one elsewhere.
I have been calling for 3 weeks to get an appointment, and went in twice and keep getting the run around. Finally got a call back to schedule at the WRONG location at Ralph Johnson in Charleston for routine appointment. The VA just gets worse and worse, they can’t even schedule an appointment for the Veteran. I have 11 numbers, 9 are wrong and say they’ll call back and 2 just transfer and transfer. Just give me my appointment already, is it really that hard? Day 22 now JUST TO TRY AND SCHEDULE AN GENERAL APPOINTMENT! Do better
Edit: WEEK 5 NOW and some slang speaking rude male just answered and so “nope not today” because it’s Saturday when I’ve requested online and called for 5 weeks now with zero emails or phone calls to schedule an appointment. Quit hiring these paycheck collectors and actually hire someone to do their job like SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT
If I could give negative stars I would. Mrs Lopez is a mental health provider at the MB VA and has done Nothing to help my husband amd refuses to talk to patients families because she just doesn't have the time. We have been denied Community care and because of clerical errors He is being denied treatment. If you can get outside help besides the Va Than Take it!!!
Their primary concern is getting you on 10 different medications and dosages for mental health even after voicing they are hurting you more than helping. They consider medication the primary treatment plan over anything else. Not a big surprise there when they get paid to drug you up and experiment on your physiology when concerning your mental health.
Got signed up and made first appointment with primary care physician. Super easy and quick. Went to first appointment, Dr made me feel I was his only concern. Went for labs the next day, a volunteer was giving out coffee. I was taken on time, the tech was friendly and professional. Everything so far has been a great experience
