The staff at this hospital are exceptionally professional. My wife and I experienced an emergency, and we were treated with the utmost respect and care. She underwent an appendectomy, and the entire team, from the nurses to the surgeons, was outstanding. The level of professionalism and compassion displayed was truly commendable. Additionally, the hospital provided convenient parking, and the billing was surprisingly reasonable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such a stressful time. Excellent hospital, excellent staff—10/10!
I went to the hospital and from the moment I arrived I was very well looked after. I had several tests, one of which I was very nervous about, and the residents Michael and Lya helped me, they did it in my own time, and they calmed me down, they were wonderful. My only complaint was the wait I had to wait all night for the specialist to release me. It took longer than expected. But the hospital structure is very good and the people are very friendly.
This is one of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. Went in with an emergency for my mother and was stuck in the ED for two whole days without any type of communication from nurses or doctors. Most information I received was through hearing people talking to each other at the doctors station about my mother. No doctor ever introduced themselves to us in the ED and told us what was going on. They continuously made decisions about my mother's treatment without consulting us first. All the nurses we worked with in the ED were totally unprofessional and rude, did not care about treating my mother nicely at all (they even talked badly about other patients in front of me while working on my unconscious mother). Every doctor told us different things throughout our week and a half stay and no one was ever on the same page. It was a very stressful and confusing time when we were supposed to be focused on healing. If ever given the option again, would never come back, this place was more of a hinderence than a help.
In the hospital not everyone works well, some are there for the salary and others for the good customer service. The first night I was hospitalized I ordered a sandwich, I want you to know that everything comes prepared in a basket, inside there is a cookie, apple juice etc and 2 pieces of bread with ham, a package of mayonnaise, you just have to go and come back. I ordered the sandwich at 11:45 pm. The sandwich was brought to me at 2 am in the morning. I ordered it because during the night they were giving me medication and I had nothing in my stomach. They have an area that when the restaurant is closed they have a 24 hour area to offer sandwiches or soft drinks. They gave me the hospital room, I ordered the sandwich and then a few days after being hospitalized I ordered food by phone twice and both times the food I ordered was not followed by the ordering instructions by the person on the phone. Everything I ordered was brought up to my room. It was bad service, what I ordered was not ordered at all. I would give it a 0. I think that when a human being is hospitalized, he wants to get better so he can go home. Most doctors or nurses have a game with patients, many of them don't care, the area I am in is the area of the heart and human health is not a game.
I came to the ER Monday and was admitted asap. Tests began quickly and a broad spectrum IV of antibiotics was in place as blood work was sorted out. Through extensive testing. Cat scan and ultra sound they determined sepsis. My stay lasted 4 days. I live an hour away and will only come Yale. Best Care Anywhere.
