Temiskaming Hospital

Went to the ER to have my expired IUD removed as I am new in the area and still need to find a family doctor. I was directed to triage where they called us in within a few minutes for them to take my vitals, weigh me etc. The nurses were very kind and personable! It was only a 2 hour wait as there were people there before me and some had priority. The doctor's name was Ryan and he was very easy to talk to and did a wonderful job reassuring me and making me comfortable. He had a student remove my IUD under his watch and she did a fantastic job! I didn't feel a thing! I wish I remembered her name. I think she's going to make a wonderful doctor or nurse. I am so happy with how everything went and they told me to come back if I had any issues or concerns after the removal. This is probably the most calm hospital I've ever been to with some of the kindest staff I've ever met.

I caught a bad case of pneumonia last weekend, went for a first trip on Monday to the hospital. Was well looked after, got my prescription and was on my way home. Fast forward to Wednesday morning 5am. I noticed I was not feeling better. Went back up, got registered and put in a room right away. Got admitted to how bad it was, and good thing I did. The drs and nurses were more the exceptional, they went out of their way to make sure I was ok, often check ins, even the simple “do you need water” each one of the nurses that I talked to thank you for everything, for going above and beyond. I truly appreciate everything. You all are the absolute best there is. Thank you.

Don’t waste your time here. In June 2024 my friend was visiting. A tree limb fell on her at the New Liskeard beach. The staff here did nothing for her. Gave her a list of symptoms to watch for and sent her away wasn’t even there an hour. She left went to Belleville hospital was there over 10 hours getting X-rays and tests to be sure there was no internal bleeding since the tree limb hit her neck and head. Belleville hospital has a great reputation best hospital in Ontario. If you can do it go to a reputable hospital don’t waste your time going here. Good luck and stay safe.

Unfortunately, had to make a visit to the ER. Doctor and nurses were extremely kind, gentle, and really made sure I was comfortable. You are all doing a great job. Thank you!!

Very not please with the service I received on September 11, 2024. I should of said the service I didn't received.... When we canceled an appointment at the last minute, as a patient we get charge a fee but the specialist don't come for their appointment we don't received any compensation. I went to the clinic and got told that the specialist was not there.......no call to let me know of the cancelation.......no call for an other date ......was told by the secretary that a message was left to me....was not through .... We also have a life like them and missing work for no reason is not fair to us......most people don't make specialist wages!!!!! And when i ask the secretary that i was not informed by anyone....she said what you want me to do about it....... Wow talk about service!!!!!
