Dr Metz and his staff are every professional and have a high standard for detail. I consider myself very lucky to have my primary Doctor to refer me to Dr Metz.
Dr. Smith is outstanding!!! He inserted a tube in my left ear which was nearly completely plugged but my hearing has now been restored. I’m beyond grateful, very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Smith!!! - Jon Harris (Olathe, KS)
We are so happy with the services of Dr Metz and Dr. Amy. The short video shared is a thorough demonstration of cleaning hearing aids. They are very patient and ensure we understand our new aids.
Very frustrated. I called the office several times after my tonsillectomy to see about pain meds and a return to work note. In my consult, during the FMLA docs process and scheduling the surgery, I explicitly said every time… I don’t have much PTO at work and explained what my job is and how I know I can do it even if on pain meds since I did it after carpal tunnel surgery last year. Through the entire process they reassured my concerns wouldn’t be an issue and I could get what I needed.
I got the pain meds no problem (Monday) but they forgot to talk to the dr about my return to work and hoped they could get back with me same day. They did but said the dr declined a note until I’m off pain meds because they don’t want me to make mistakes. Fine, whatever, I knew I was on the mend to not needing pain meds much longer. (Last pain med was 10:30pm on Tue)
I called today (Wed) after their lunch because my sleep is all jacked up still and woke up on their lunch. I was told by the first person they can write a return to work but because I was requesting to work remotely it was too complicated for her to write. (On Fridays I have to go in office at work and my boss said my note would have to explicitly say I need to work remote or I’d be required to go in office. I do have a fair amount of talking only when working in office which is why I requested working remote. Which again was reassured during the entire process prior to surgery.) She forwarded me to Dr Hill’s nurses voicemail so I left a message. By 4 I still didn’t get a call back so I called again to follow up and the person who answered promised I’d get a call back but the nurses had been busy. Now it’s after 5 with no call, I have an upset boss and I’m out of PTO. I CANNOT afford days off without PTO regardless of FMLA. I have 2 kids under 5 I have to support and we are all on my insurance at work. I asked the questions a million times before surgery to avoid this and it’s ridiculous. They only get the 2 stars because of my experience prior to and during the surgery.
Even if I get the note tomorrow I will be late to work because I start work at 7am and can’t flex my schedule.

2 months agoDr. Hill is fantastic! He took out my tonsils after recurrent infections. Not a fun surgery as an adult, but I felt well prepared.
