Brightshores Wellness & Recovery Centre

My girlfriend was treated very poorly by the staff here. They messed up her medications, which sent her to the ICU in Owen Sound hospital for four days. The director said they would hold a bed for her. After four days, the nursing staff phoned Brightshores. They had given away her bed. Said she could no longer able to be admitted. There were no long-term programs available ONLY withdrawal management. I had to drive her all the way to Barrie detox from Owen Sound. Stay away. They don't care about people here at this detox. Also, it is very rude and abrupt on the phone. I was definitely rubbed the wrong way.

The staff truly care. You are a person here, not a number. If you want the growth and want to do the work. This place is a great environment to do it in.

Terrible experience for my brother here. Stigma is still so present even at a “wellness and recovery centre” just to get his routine injection. Two months in a row for his routine monthly appts they have made his experience awful which is sad cause it will deter people from trusting the staff and going in for help.

The staff here really care about you. They want to see you recover and they go above and beyond to help. Grateful. Thank you all for the growth and experience. Real ones.
