Wonderful ‘clinic’ and superb staff. My teenage daughter spent 4 weeks (30 sessions at 2.0 atm) here every day doing HBOT for Lyme disease. The hyperbaric chamber sessions were simple and we started to see a decrease in symptoms after a few days which will hopefully continue. All of the staff (HBOT technician, reception and support staff) were excellent and Dr Spiegel was straight and to the point when explaining the procedures. They are also very open and transparent about any claims of HBOT indications. Overall a very positive experience and well recommended.
After finding National Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Dr Spiegle on line we decided to make the trip from Missouri to Palm Harbor Florida to seek treatment for my son. We were welcomed by a tremendously nice staff. They treated us like family and go above and beyond the call of duty. My son is showing signs of improvement half way through his prescribed treatment. I highly recommend contacting them to see if they can help with your health and medical healing issues.
Life-changing! I came to this facility as my last piece of hope. I have had dozens of abdomen surgeries. My knee has a torn meniscus. I also have some anxiety and PTSD. The amazing Lindsay- got me all scheduled! Dr. Spiegel has restored my hope!On Day 1 in the oxygen chamber, my open stomach wounds were healed!! Each day, I experience a new healing! Darryl has been attentive, knowledgeable, and so supportive- while I’m receiving my HBOT treatment.Then I see Kim, who does Red Light Therapy in my knee, stomach, back, and my brain!! I originally was having HBOT done at a hospital. I was needing extra air breaks which the hospital wouldn’t do so I started to come here. What a difference! Darryl and staff are wonderful. I feel completely safe. They will work with your personal needs. Couldn’t be happier!
“It’s not worth drilling a hole in your head!”My mother saw Dr. Spiegel about fluid in her brain that was the suspected cause of new imbalance, shuffling, falls, and cognitive issues. The main treatment for that is a shunt that drains the fluid. If you do it early you have a good chance to regain function. After giving my mother a very basic verbal memory test I tried to explain those were not the things she was having issues with.Dr. Spiegel asked her how she felt. Terrified of shunt surgery and scared to admit what was happening to her, she said she was “OK.” To which Dr. Spiegel said “well it’s not worth drilling a hole in your head then.”
And that was it. That solidified her fear and convinced her nothing more than normal aging was happening.Now, two years later, the woman who was an athlete and coach and daily gym rat until 75 yrs old can barely remember things, can barely pick her feet up, and had a life-threatening fall. At this point it’s likely any brain damage from the fluid can’t be reversed. This was preventable.I see a lot of good reviews. That’s fine. I think that it should be known that those are not the whole story.
