I recently received treatment at the Parry Sound Hospital ER and couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful care I received. Every person I interacted with over the course of three days was caring, thorough, friendly, and professional. I also noticed how compassionately they treated others who weren't patients but were clearly down on their luck. Their kindness extended to everyone, reflecting the true heart of this hospital.

I recently went to Killbear Provincial Park for a day trip with my husband, but a few hours into our visit, I began to feel extremely unwell. My stomach felt like it was tearing, and I experienced cold sweats. It was both frightening and unbearable. I called 911, and we requested an ambulance because I felt like my life was in danger.
From the moment the ambulance arrived, I received exceptional care from everyone involved. The hospital staff quickly diagnosed me with an ectopic pregnancy and promptly took me to the operating room. Every member of the team, from the paramedics to the doctor on duty, and all the nurses and the surgeon, treated me with remarkable care and respect. They truly saved my life. I am incredibly grateful for the support and professionalism I received, and I am amazed at how close I came to a tragic outcome.
The care I received at the hospital was nothing short of angelic. Thank you for everything 🫶 and God bless everyone of you
I recently had the privilege of experiencing the exceptional care provided by the emergency staff at West Parry Sound Health Centre, on Wednesday March 27. From the moment my boyfriend and I arrived at the hospital's doors at 4 am, we were greeted with warmth and efficiency that immediately put us at ease.
One of the standout features of our experience was the incredible kindness and patience exhibited by the nursing staff, particularly Nurse Alyssa and her colleagues. Despite my fear of needles, they took the time to reassure me, explain each step of the process, and ensure my comfort throughout.
Moreover, the speed at which the doctor attended to me was truly impressive. Not only was he friendly and approachable, but he also demonstrated a high level of expertise and provided clear, informative explanations about my condition and treatment options. His demeanour and professionalism instantly instilled trust and confidence in me, and my partner.
Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of the outstanding care I received at West Parry Sound. The combination of friendly, compassionate staff, efficient service, and expert medical attention made a stressful situation much more manageable. I am grateful for the dedication and excellence demonstrated by everyone involved in my care, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of emergency medical services.
A huge thank to the Dr.s and nursing staff at WPSHC. Recently I've needed to use their Emergency services several times and was also hospitalized for a short period. Each time I was triaged and treated in a timely manner. Everyone was professional, compassionate and competent. I couldn't have been in better hands.
Every time I have an emergency and I have to come to this hospital the waiting time is a minimum of 8 hours and I would understand if the waiting room was full, but there are no more than 5 people.
I know there are priorities but on this occasion my 2-year-old son had a strong blow to his face and no one has been kind enough to check him, I guess the mistreatment of adults here has normalized him, but now also the children? in the room we are 3 people with babies and no one has gone out to attend them.
This is really frustrating and if it's with kids, you definitely have to look for another place, it's amazing as a joke, because after all in emergencies NOTHING is an emergency.
And after so many hours, the doctor didn't even take the trouble to check it, he just passed us and told us to relax that it would be okay, but I must be grateful that he gave me 3 bands for the wound. Could this be worse??? To be exact was on the night shift, it's definitely the worst of all!!!
