Carus Dental

I don't have insurance and went to this office because it is close to work, I was in pain and got in the same day. Front desk staff were very professional and caring. Once my paperwork was completed I was taken back and seated. The dentist came in and took her time looking at the problem area. After the x-rays were complete and verified what the dentist had discussed with me the procedure was started. What amazed me about this dentist, there was absolutely no pain and the procedure went quickly. The cost was very affordable (no insurance) and I will return to this office again. I was recommended from a friend who went to their other office in Pasadena and had only great things to say about the dentists and staff. I will recommend these dentists to all my family and friends.

I drive by this office everyday coming home and noticed it always had and empty parking lot. (I am new to area) I figured they were a new office I am still not sure if they are. I was so happy that I was able to schedule appointment very next day. Although the day of appointment no other patients were around or ever seen during my visit. No sounds of a busy dentist office.. I signed paperwork although when filling out one form said I would be charged up front until they received payment. She said oh no no, I will explain later I said fine after the explanation I will sign the form. I waited about another 10 minutes after they called me back. Bitewings taken then Doctor came in looked in my mouth and said something to the assistant ...and then said okay I will be back. The girl from the office came and sat by me telling me I needed deep cleaning on my 2 lower left quadrants on the bottom. She then showed me how much my percentage was of what my insurance would pay but then also told me I would have to pay the 100 deductible on top of that. So about 140.00. For my free teeth cleaning. I said I don't want the teeth cleaning I just want my annual cleaning and she said we cannot clean your teeth unless we do the deep cleaning. I said okay well then I guess I am done. I have great teeth and last visit to my dentist was 1 year ago. prior to that every 6 months I went. I also have dental work. So I do take care of my teeth.I called my dental insurance and told them about my experience and how they told me they would not clean my teeth unless I got the deep cleaning done firlst!! She said they can give you a cleaning only they cannot refuse you your cleaning with limitations. Anyway...my dental insurance will be sending me a complaint form on this issue so that I can help those other people or those who they have already refused their cleaning without the extra cost. I do work for a big home improvement company. And I will be sure to tell everyone I know about this visit. Now these people will cheat me out of my xray and one of my annual dental exam....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Not a fancy place but munch rather have great work than fancy stuff that makes the price go up.. The staff cant be beat anywhere. they make you feel like your ther only customer
