Doesn't seem to care. Called up there and this was the conversation: Operator: "MERIDIAN!!" Me: "Hello?" Operator: "MERIDIAN!!" Me: "Yes ma'am, I'm just calling because I have a few questions and I don't even know if I'm calling the right place" Operator: "uh huh" Wow....at least try to act like you're talking to another human. If this is how you treat adults on the phone I'd be scared to see how you treat kids in person.

These folks are always willing to help and not to forget about a peaceful vibe, and I've recognized a calming effect on myself during every visit. My new friend,a stealthy bron anole says hello, and goodbye.

I wanted to forget this place when I left, but I realize now I can't do that. I was lied to repeatedly here by people I was expected to trust, the point system gave me and a lot of other patients anxiety, and I had a psyc tech LIE and break HYPA laws by telling other patients that I had autism. I didn't. And I think he still works there. If you want to use this place as a punishment, trust me, it is one. If you want your kid to get genuine help, don't send them here. When I was there they only had two therapists and I rarely saw mine for one-on-one sessions, or even in general. People only see results in their kids because the point systems give us so much anxiety we're scared to do ANYTHING. And I'm serious when I say anything, some of the stuff they deduct points for is confusing and stupid. I was so messed up there, most of the time I was there I was talking to a SHOE for support. I felt a loss of control there with the point system they had, I felt like there was nothing I could do to stop myself from breaking some rule i didn't know existed. And they never told us when or why they deducted points, and some techs would deduct differently to. This lead to me locking myself in my room asking the shoe if I did something wrong. And I had no one to talk to, remember. It was traumatic for me, I still haven't shaken the feeling of doing wrong. Don't send your kids here, and ik I sarcastically said it's a good punishment, but I had irony in saying that because I was there as a punishment. And they let me and my mom consider it a punishment, I'll never forgive her or the maridian for that. If you have no choice but to send them here, support them, please, it's really hard here. Don't send your kids here for punishment!! And never punish your kids, discipline them, there's a difference and please, please trust me, IT MATTERS!!! Ik people don't like listening to people like me or the patients because we're "crazy" and I get that. But I wasn't crazy, I was a sick little girl who needed help and support. Even When I was angry or raging, or building a wall I still needed help and love! And understanding! And I had to find it in a SHOE! If you read all of this thank you, I hope my experience helps you come to a good decision about your childs, or your mental hospital choice. This should be your last resort. Also a lot of people who post reviews on here mean to post them under the ADULT version of the meridian. The child version is what I'm referring to, the adult version is a lot different treatment wise.
