I can’t say enough about Desert Ridge Pediatric Dentistry. The entire staff makes you feel very welcome from the time you walk in the door. Dr. Libby’s bedside manner is top notch. She’s so personable, makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. My son said, mom I really like it here. So I’d say it’s was a perfect fit! Plus he had no cavities. One happy momma here! :)
Dr Libby is the VERY best pediatrics dentist in the whole world. She’s gentle, loving, caring and my kids love her. Her staff is stellar, kind, and responsive. Great people!
I was very disappointed with the whole experience. We showed up 10 minutes early for my baby’s first dentist appointment ever. We were greeted after a few minutes and told to just sign in on the iPads. We were then briefly spoken to by someone around the corner in the front office. We waited for 30 minutes before being called back. During that time, 2 other families with 2 children each (who showed up 20 minutes after us) were taken back to be seen. The dental hygienist was very nice, but as we walked to our room not a single other staff member that we encountered said hello to us including a male staff member who was standing in the doorway of our room, which I thought was very odd to not even greet a patient especially a baby. After the hygienist showed us the tools and gave a quick overview of what to expect, she said the dentist would be in to see us in a couple of minutes. She was very nice and returned with a balloon as we waited another 15-20 minutes for the dentist to come in. At this point, we had been there for over an hour for what was supposed to be just a quick intro to seeing the dentist for my 10 month old. The dentist was a bit off-putting as I felt I had to keep defending myself as a parent. I’ve been brushing my son’s teeth since he got his first tooth, but that didn’t seem to be good enough. Then it was the toothbrush and toothpaste we’re using that we chose based on other pediatric dentists’ recommendations that we’ve researched online. Then she proceeds to negatively point out several things that I should be concerned about without any tact. Please keep in mind that our pediatrician and lactation consultant have never expressed any concerns and my son is a very healthy baby. Then when we walked to the front office not a single staff member we passed even acknowledged us. I did bring my concerns up to the front desk worker and she brought out her supervisor who apologized. The whole experience was so disappointing. We were hoping to have a warm, loving, and positive experience, but this office did not offer that at all.
After a VERY traumatic dental history experience & a very recent procedure at another dental office I’m so beyond grateful to have found an actual gentle, caring pediatric dentist with Dr. Libby at Desert Ridge. It’s a 40-45 minute drive to north phoenix for us but she & her team are completely worth it. They don’t just advertise a joyful, & peace experience, they practice it in every way. Dr. Libby has restored my faith in dentists again. She’s full of integrity & transparent about each & every thing she is doing. She is willing to hold your hand & walk you through each step & thought process for procedures.
I’ve got an extremely anxiety riddened child when it comes to dentists. Dr. Libby spent over 2 hours with him. He’s a very difficult patient but they took their time to allow him the ability to work through it.
She said to us afterwards, “I think he just wants to be heard & listened to, so that’s just what we did.”
This mama is very happy & my son is excited to go see Dr. Libby (the space theme definitely helps too).

We love this dentist office! We have been taking our daughter there since she was very young. The staff are amazing and great with kids and the office is always fun to visit with the space themed playground. Our daughter always leaves there with a smile and they have helped us. Encourage her to have great oral health. We love Dr Austin and Dr Libby! Highly recommend!
