Have been using the services of the Hearing Place and Drs. Harris or Porter for several decades now. Always friendly, professional and thorough! I’ve never been made to feel uncomfortable or pressured into buying a hearing aid. I haven’t live in WV for years, but always return to them for examinations because I don’t like the chain or big box audiologists. A family run business that truly cares for their patients
Upon scheduling our appointment I was really hopeful that the experience we’d have with getting my 1yo and 9 yo checked out would be a good one. They seemed friendly and even scheduled my two kiddos together. We got there and the receptionist seemed very frazzled and irritated, whether it was at me or something else it was very clear and read across the room. My kiddo is autistic so he doesn’t realize he’s being loud sometimes and it echoed in the building pretty bad, and it seemed like he was bothering people. My younger kiddo was also pretty rowdy and it felt like we were bothering the staff by kids being kids. We got our exams done pretty quick, honestly I expected it to be a bit more thorough but we were in and out in a half hour for two kids so I hope it’s accurate.
They were very professional and helpful. My 3 yr old is autistic and didn't cooperate alot, they just rolled with it and figured it out. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
The Doctors and staff and The Hearing Place are amazing! I just recently had to take my little girl there to have her hearing checked. My little one has severe anxiety around doctors, however they put her immediately at ease! For once we left a doctors office not in tears! Absolutely wonderful!

12 months agoThe staff is beyond amazing. I’ve taken my small Children and they work wonderfully with children. Highly recommend for all of your hearing needs.
