I walked in at 8am today and was seen by the Nurse Practitioner 35 minutes later. She had an abundance of clinical experience and explained my diagnosis in full as well as the medication she prescribed. The NP was excellent!! Even though I felt sick, it was a pleasant experience.

If you're sick and need medical assistance, don't use this walk-in clinic. I went for a chronic cough which would keep me up at nights and after they did their exam, which was a Covid-19 and strep throat test, they proscribed 3 medicine which only 2 was covered by insurance. When the pharmacy called the doctor with alternatives, the doctor never bothered to call back. 2 days later, I called and left a message with the receptionist and again, no call back. after 4 days later, I gave up and went to another walk-in center (Port Chester, NY - AFC) where they did a lot better job and got the meds that I needed that same night. & days later, I got a call from Stamford asking if I got my meds?! I didn't know if I should laugh at them or sue them for their incompetency. If you value your health, time and money, STAY AWAY!

3/3/24 at 9 am. Do not bother coming here. SO unprofessional. The front desk person is rude, sarcastic and unpleasant. Doesn’t want to be near public. The nurse tried to tell me I couldn’t go into visit room with my disabled husband. I told her it is his right to have an advocate with him- to which she answered it’s her right to deny him that to protect herself. I asked her what she needs to protect herself from and she said “everyone”. LOL. If you are afraid of people who are ill, why are you a nurse? Meanwhile the check in woman was rolling her eyes and shaking her head at me and my disabled husband- which he sadly saw. When we got back to the visit room, the same nurse began talking SO fast - had to ask her to slow down and repeat herself. She clearly didn’t want to help my husband and showed zero compassion or care. She said the doctor would come in, but a NP came. To be fair, she was kind and helpful. And knowledgeable. Too bad her coworkers drag the place down. Never again.

I had something irritating my eye and, after reading the website for this walk-in center - where it indicated that "eye irritations" was one of the complaints they could handle - I visited. I had to wait about 45 minutes and then was ushered in by some young man whose qualifications were not clear. He proceeded to take my blood pressure, listen to my heart and lungs, check my blood oxygen, look in my mouth and ears, go over my medications - in short, he did everything except examine my eye. After all this he told me I should see an ophthalmologist because the walk-in clinic did not "do eyes." I wasted an hour of my day with this preposterous episode. And I'm sure they will bill my insurance very heftily for this incomprehensible experience. Advice - skip this place.

I was looking around to see which walk in seemed best and as is usually the case the reviews are all over the place. I decided to go here to Stamford Health's walk in and my experience was nothing but positive. Reception, the nurse, and the doctor were all professional, courteous and thorough. I arrived shortly after opening and had little to no wait time. Of course your experience may be different at another time of the day. I had some routine COVID/RSV/Strep tests done and staff followed up promptly with all the results. My medication was ready at the pharmacy when I arrived to pick it up. There is really not any more I could ask for here. This location exceeded my expectations for a walk in clinic and I really can't see any typical patients having much trouble with their visit here. Recommended.
