I waited for well over an hour just to pick out frames for my glasses simply because they failed to tell them that I was waiting. I was met with an attitude both times that I approached the front desk to ask. The only reason I decided to write a review about this is because of how common it is at this clinic. I dread each time I have to come to this clinic. If you happen to call, it’s very common for them to hang up or even send you to a different place without notice. The one positive is that the phlebotomist is friendly and welcoming. The customer service at the front desk is hit or miss depending on who you get. I’ve actually gotten to the point where I’d rather pay full price and find a medical provider and mental health clinic that will listen to my issues and concerns than this one that consistently undermines my concerns. Each time I ask for a record of my past visits (x ray, etc.) I have to start everything from square one. Lastly, the doctors having no record of my visits EVERY TIME I COME IN gets old really quick.

Clinically speaking…it’s a place, with an extremely severe “non-friendly, sterile cockpit,” VA Clinic that I’ve been to ever! My Docs had a GAF attitude, as well as the front desk personnel. They definitely don’t care nor listen…they only hear! It’s a laugh that almost a year and a half later (Oct 2023) I get a call identified as the Beaumont branch (274-miles round trip) that they (the TC Clinic) said they cancelled my appointment (when I did with the provider 1-month after the appointment was made, in the Summer 2022) and they moved me to another team. What a joke! And for the Houston VA Hospital, I could get my appointments quicker thru UTMB than waiting 4-months to see you all! It’s all “smoke and mirrors” with you people and you can’t make this stuff up. The one person who did make a difference was your eye clinic technician that fitted me for my eye glasses; who was the most precious, friendliest, professional person out of all of you. For her only, she gets 5-Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in this write-up.

I bring my ex-wife down here to have stuff done to her broke knee the windows out front are horrible dirty nasty you cannot see out of them I bought the equipment to clean them and ask if I could clean the windows and a man by the name Ruben Vega said that he had a company that did that but they haven't been cleaned in a year I was told I could not clean them I was doing this at the kindness of my heart are veterans administration really really needs a overhaul.

All I have to say is how is this place still open. -You call put you on hold and then hang up on you. -The manager had me escorted out by the cop for finding it unreasonable that my cardiologist put me in for a stat lab and they refused to do my labs in the next week. -Dr. Khan barely looks at you in the appointment. And types with two fingers. -I had stat labs I did have an appointment for that had to be in by a certain time to make it to the special lab for TB and I told them I had to have it before the first pick up. The front desk staff waited until the lab picked up to tell the lab I have been waiting. -Many more experiences with incompetence at this location. -I can’t wait until my survey for this clinic -I moved to the Houston VA because of the treatment I have received at Texas City.

I had lab work done here, and I am completely satisfied with the experience.
