The place is honestly so judge mental. How are you judging women who come to this place in a time of need the most. There’s a new women’s health center in faxton. They are so nice and they didn’t make me feel judge at all. Planned parenthood is a great resource for younger girls and women in unhealthy situations and the employees should make everyone feel safe and respected.
I've been coming here for many years. The staff is always kind and personable. I get free condoms here, which is a godsend. I had a colposcopy recently and I had three very educated and calming staff members who walked me through everything with patience and empathy. One woman held my hand throughout the uncomfortable procedure. Another woman carefully took a spider outside that infiltrated the exam room. I left my appointment, and they gave me snacks like I was on a field trip. I appreciate them very much.
I moved to Utica so I thought instead of driving to Rome I would start going here. Well I can’t get anyone to answer the phone or call me back and it’s been 4 days. The one time I was able to get someone after 30 minutes of hold time I was assured my health concern would be marked urgent and I should get a call back within 24-48 hours. It has been 3 whole days and not one word from them! I called back left my number to have a callback and when I received that call after 5 seconds I was hung up on and I cannot call back at that number so back to waiting on hold yet again! 0 stars if I could and will always be going back to Rome at this point where they make a point to help the patients.
Come to a place for help. And show up 30 minutes early, like asked. To not be seen until 6 hours after my appointment is just mind blowing.. and the way they look at you, talk about judgement. How uncomfortable it was.
Ive been going through them for over 2 years for gender affirming care and theyve been literal life savers. yeah covid has messed things up a bit but my experiences have all been wonderful there and the staff are always so great to me when i come in.
