4 months agoThis center has garnered a diverse range of reviews, often reflecting political biases more than the center's actual merits. From visits and interactions, it's clear that the center is committed to providing crucial support for women in need. It's advisable for readers to differentiate between firsthand experiences and distant perspectives.

5 years agoThe Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center is a safe place for young women in our community. It offers accurate information on pregnancy for expecting mothers, many of which are African-American and from other minorities. They help mothers who may feel that their only alternative is to have an abortion because of financial, family or other constraint with viable alternatives. They not only offer information, they actually walk with these women through their entire pregnancy and the first year of their babies lives. They offer help finding DC Government resources to help these families. They help them get diapers and clothes for their babies on-site or through other organizations. They are there on the journey of motherhood, walking with the mothers, fathers and babies through the pregnancy, giving birth and raising them. They offer love and care for women who may not have that at home. Unlike other organizations, they are committed to the people they serve and don't just abandon them once they are done with them. All the other comments that say that they provide inaccurate information have clearly never set foot there and are lying. The Pregnancy Center offers the gift of life at no cost to these women by sharing the truth. Abortion clinics offer the death of a baby and for many women a life of regrets. Abortion has major physical and psychological risks for mothers too.The staff and volunteers of the Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center are going an amazing job and are a beacon of hope. They support for vulnerable women and love them with all their hearts. It is an organization worth supporting as they save lives: babies and moms.If you are young woman who is pregnant and not sure what to do, go to the Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center. There you will find a loving and caring staff that will not judge you in a safe and private environment.

7 years agoJust got off the phone with Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center, and the person I spoke to was very clear that they are NOT an abortion provider, nor can they refer me to an abortion provider. This center is NOT A HEALTH CLINIC. The person I spoke to explained that the Pregnancy Center is there to discuss three options: adoption, keeping the baby, and abortion, and they provide support for the first two options but not for abortion. If a person decides to carry the pregnancy to term, they can provide mostly emotional support in addition to free childbirth classes, parenting training, and baby supplies. If a women decides not to continue with the pregnancy, they can only provide counselling post-abortion. While the women I spoke with was very nice, I would only suggest this center for people who are certain they want to continue their pregnancy and not someone who is still deciding what to do. This center is NOT A CLINIC and will not provide medical or unbiased advice.

6 years agoIn my experience the Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center is committed to providing its clients with accurate and complete information about prenatal development, baby delivery, adoption, and abortion. As an outreach ministry in the name of Jesus Christ, the center is committed to assisting mothers, fathers, and their babies in providing emotional support and practical assistance, such as, baby clothes, car seats, and pack'n plays. The center's services are free of charge. It is independent of all adoption agencies or abortion clinics. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask to talk to the center's Executive Director.
