I went here to get lab work done on a Monday. I had a scheduled appointment for 9 am. Didn't get called back for about a half hr. The lab tech was fast at gathering blood.
Dr Hernandez is a bad neurologist. Missed a simple diagnosis because of his inability to read a CT-scan properly. Went to a different organization and they found the issue I was having. They also reviewed the CT-scan with Hernandez and it was clearly visible. He doesn't know what he is doing. I heard he was fired from Noran. This organization should do the same.

WARNING! DON’T make a partial payment at the time of service if you might qualify for financial assistance!!! You will lose the discount on the part you already paid for!
I was out of town and had a bad case of strep throat and was desperate (and no insurance). They can’t tell you what any of your costs will be before you decide on treatment, and my bill was $747 to see a doctor and get an antibiotic, which is outrageous in the first place. I paid $300 upfront and took home an application for financial assistance (I qualify for a sliding scale clinic at home). They approved me for a 60% discount, but they only applied it to the existing balance. So my good faith payment was punished and cost me an extra $180! I blame the policy makers at the top for this money grubbing practice, not any of the billing employees or the care providers. The medical staff provided excellent care treatment. I could have given them a much higher rating if it weren’t for the billing grievance.
I bothered to do this review to hopefully save others from this financial abuse.
EDIT: I followed up with CentraCare a couple of times and they finally applied the discount to my entire bill. I hope in the future that they do it automatically for everyone. If it happens to you, be sure to press them to do the right thing. I am revising my rating from one to two stars since I received excellent care, but because of the financial issues I can’t rate them any higher.
Most of my medical staff is from this location in Willmar. My issue is the parking. Not all people that are handicap have a scooter or wheelchair. A lot of handicap people are pushing walkers, using canes or their own sore legs, and the clinic is fairly far away from the handicap parking area. Also, there could be a lot of walking, inside with no benches in sight, if you have doctors when you turn right inside.
Gross. We went to to have our son examined. We got to the exam room in urgent care and there was blood in the exam table and floor. We had to call the nurse back in to clean it up as we didn't want our toddler to touch it. The paper barrier that covers the exam table was laying on the floor. Garbage and dirt on the floor of the exam room. Completely unacceptable in a health care center. That's why we go to Montevideo.
